Today's topic: Friendship bracelets (from seller keepsmesane1972 via Etsy.com)

Interest: Er, friendship bracelets? Need I say more?! :)

When I was little, all the "cool kids" always had these colorful bracelets tied on their wrists.

I remember it clearly: I was seven and intrigued by these fun strings, and I asked Alexa (aka the queen of our playground, and possibly the meanest girl ever) what she had on. She then proceeded to stick her tongue out at me and snidely add, "It's a secret! Only the cool kids get to know, and you aren't one of them!"

Uh, thanks, Alexa. Yeah, thanks for ruining my childhood.

But then I was on Etsy the other day, and I came across keepmesane1972's awesome shop. I remember Alexa had those pretty bracelets, but they were just strings that were braided together. Simple, and pretty, but something everyone can do. But these bracelets are something else; they're possibly cooler than cool itself!

These are just two of many really cute bracelets she sells one Etsy.com. I actually ordered a couple bracelets from her today, and I'm so excited for them, I decided to share them with you!

I actually also ordered a book of patterns so that I'll hopefully be able to make a couple neat bracelets of my own. Nothing as intricate as Jen's of course, but something a tad more complicated then, eh, let's say a braid. :)
